The Nualanis Band led by emcee Bill Laolagi was born in Faleniu, American Samoa. He came to the states at a young age and grew up helping out at cultural church functions and family events. As an adult he taught himself to play guitar, ukulele and traditional percussion drums. He also discovered he had a natural talent for singing and harmonizing. He started out as a musician playing for his cousin's dance group The Tamali'is of Simi Valley and another cousin's group Manu Ali'i of Carson. Both groups gave him an oppurtunity to showcase his talents. Being the front man and emcee of his own group Nualanis Polynesia, he has been asked by community leaders and corporate heads to emcee their events including festivals, parties, city functions and other special occasions. He's the guy that makes sure everyone has a good time with his ongoing humor. The Nualanis Band under his direction, spends countless hours practicing at his home. The band members are: Philip Laolagi - rhythm guitar and ukulele (and of course B & R's son). Philip has a heart for music and the knack for keeping the dancers laughing and smiling! Rose Laolagi - vocalist and dance instructor keeps all the boys "in check"! We would like to welcome our toere player, John Pokipala, from the island of Hawaii and his son, Mason. Adding to our family are Keoni on lead guitar and Henry Solikhin on keyboard, guitar and vocals.

Nualanis Polynesia has had other musicians and singers as part of their musical family. Dave and Denise Su'apaia, Enrique Ruiz, Denise Kelton, Keli Kelemete, and Terry Ali'ifua. They have all given their time and support to us, we thank them and appreciate the hard work they have done as well.
